First Job or Project

Q: How can a client initiate a job or project?

A: Clients can initiate a job or project by logging into their portal control panel and clicking the Request tab. The client portal is a robust Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) allowing them to easily manage their requests and tasks.

Q: How can an owner, manager, or staff member initiate a job or project?

A: Owners, managers, and staff members, who may also be responsible for performing the work in the field, can initiate jobs or projects in their control panels by choosing from several options:

  1. Request a Deposit: Before assigning work, request a deposit. The task will be automatically transferred to the scheduled staff member once the deposit has been paid.
  2. Requires on-site Assessment: Schedule the task to a staff member. The price can be determined after the staff member has reviewed the work on-site.
  3. Requires Client Approval: Create a task with the price for the client to review. The task will be transferred to the staff member assigned once the client approves the work.
  4. Does not Require Client Approval: Assign the task to the staff member. The price is displayed but does not require the client’s approval. This option is typically used when the price has already been agreed upon through other means of communication, such as telephone or direct contact.

Q: Can an owner or manager double up as field staff workers?

A: Yes, an owner or manager can also take on the role of a field staff worker and perform tasks or projects themselves. They can schedule and assign tasks to themselves in the same way they would for other staff members, ensuring seamless operations and efficient use of resources within the organization.
